Many of you realize that the biggest challenge that sports today are facing is the ability to recruit and retain trained and certified officials. In the past few years, there are many games during the Calgary Minor Fastpitch season that simply cannot be covered by certified umpires, due to the limited numbers. In order for these games to be played, parents or other volunteers have stepped onto the field to call the game.

We will be hosting another Zoom, “District Umpire” Session on Sunday, May 15 at 7:00 pm

The learning video will play first (a little short of an hour long), after the video there will be a question and answer session with Umpires Steve Smith and Jim Portman. We are inviting the previous District Umpires from the first two sessions to join in, they can either join the entire session to watch the video again or join in right around 8:00 pm for the question and answer portion of the meeting.
